My friends got into Darktide, and it's pretty familiar ground as I played their previous games and left for dead 1&2.
I became a Zealot and centralized my entire build around the flamethrower. Burn the heretics. Mwhahaha.
Anyway they were pretty ahead but I've caught up quickly to level 30. It's pretty fun.

A growing trend is AAA games having roguelite modes as side content. So this week we cross the Void Warp into Warhammer 40K Darktide!
Featuring two ... sort of ... roguelite game modes with Expeditions and Mortis Trials, we put our Ogryns and Psykers to the test and see how many Muties can throw us in a row.

Macht viel Spaß mit 2 bis 3 Freunden - der Bot ist gut genug, um zumindest bei normalen Schwierigkeitsgraden nicht im Weg zu sein. Schöne Level, man kann sich gut mit Fähigkeiten austoben, tolle Musik. Auch einige lustige Charaktere. Schwierigkeit kann aber stark variieren - manchmal ein Spaziergang manchmal kommen zwei Selbstmordbomber gleichzeitig und dann war es das. Gequassel der Figuren ist nett, wiederholt sich aber schnell. #gaming

It's a great coop Zombie slasher. And, imho, the game that does combining shooting and slashing best. It's really well done, and the sound and graphic design is superb.

Fühlt sich bekannt an. Bei mir haben sich Spiele die sich in 40-Minuten-Runden spielen lassen durchgesetzt.
Mein persönlicher Klassiker ist #LeagueOfLegends. Da kann ich immer wieder zu zurück, und das ist einfach richtig gut gemacht.
Der andere Slot ist Shooter. Gerade ist es #HuntShowdown. Das ist einfach so rund und durchdacht und atmosphärisch und immer wieder anders. 🤩
Was auch gut geht sind Coop-Shooter mit Freunden (#Helldivers, #Darktide). -
CW: man, when game developers don't fully test their releases...
I write mods for #Darktide which is a squad based shooter in the #Warhammer40k universe, and the developers recently released a hotfix that crashed the game in some of the high intensity matches.
I was part of the modding discord, so was pretty low to the ground when reports came in, and was able to write a mod that temporarily bypassed the issue, and the mod has been downloaded 1.4k times in the last three days since that hotfix was launched.
You gotta get in early to get that traction I guess. Surprising numbers tbh, given that the large majority of players don't mod, but everyone who does really wanted a fix for the issue.

What kind of games are you referring to? Computer games, I guess?
And what did you like in the past?
Personally, I got lucky to have my tastes met quite nicely.
I sank hours into Co-op shooters like #Darktide and #Helldivers2. #HuntShowdown is a great extraction shooter with a lot of depth and suspense to it. #AgainstTheStorm is a captivating city builder / production line manager. I haven't played #BaldursGate3, but others loved it.
All of these are very polished games.

Yesterday's #Darktide update has been excellent for the Ogryn, along with all the actual buffs to the tree and base stats, we're also learning more about Gurry “Brunt” Cernik, who now is voiced by what seems like a Scot
