You know what? I've only played one Soulslike in 2026 and I'm getting the urge to do just that.

Question is, what?

I've never touched #DarkSoulsII and frankly I'm a little scared of the runbacks. 

I have played some #LordsOfTheFallen but hated the split-realities mechanic.

I've got #Thymesia ready to go on my Steamdeck but originally bounced off it before.

I've been meaning to take another run through #Sekiro as well. Maybe it's time I hit that one up?

Мне нужно поскорее пройти Dark Souls II хотя бы раз. Сейчас я в том уникальном положении, когда я абсолютно ничего не знаю про игру, кроме пары мемов и того факта, что все её любят/ненавидят за свою "нетаковость".

Я хотел было перейти к ней после King's Field IV, но внезапный успешный запуск на телефоне спутал все мои планы.

Надеюсь, недавнего опыта в Demon's Souls и Dark Souls 1 мне хватит, чтобы сформировать впечатление как есть.

Моя первая серьезная стычка случилась в Маджуле. Причем это был не НИП и не бронированный мою, а в буквальном смысле три поросёнка. Защита у них была высокая, а атака не то чтобы высокая, но били они часто.

Чем дольше тянулась экзекуция, тем абсурднее становилась ситуация. Мне очень-очень не хотелось терять свою человечность из-за трёх поросят.

И да. Я ещё назвал своего персонажа Wolf'ом.

I'm just jumping into Dark Souls II to pick up the souls I lost last night, level up my faith (appropriate for a Sunday), and go get the the staff from that guy who sits in a cave looking at the wall.

Strange interaction just now:

Got invaded in #DarkSoulsII. This is my least favourite part: folk come in and one-shot me, screwing up my progress. 😡

So I whipped out the Black Separation Crystal to avoid an encounter. It didn't work. Invader appeared, then killed me.

_Then_ the invader messages me on PSN, says they were there to help and only killed me because I tried to send them away.

I told them I tried to send them away because I thought they would kill me. Which, er, they did.

🤷‍♂️

Starting to love Dark Souls II. It started as a decent #DarkSouls fix, although I kept thinking, "This is no #Bloodborne."

Just saw off some familiar flying statues in the Bastille, and it's dealing with my craving very well indeed

I can see why it was divisive, but it sooo nice to be back in that bonkers world.

I got #DarkSouls2 to be precise.
Unfortunately my 360 is still at the in-laws since our stay last Yule, so I can't play it right now.
We visited them last weekend, so I started it up late one night when everyone had gone to bed.
I ended up spending too much time with the #DarkSoulsII character creator instead, which is one of the best I've played around with so far:

This was definitely one of the best character / #avatar creators I've worked with. Wouldn't mind seeing this as a stand-alone solution with save and recall options for comparison.

Also, a bit more free to use camera would've been appreciated, as I needed to fiddle for a *clothed* close-up.
