Finished "Path of the Dark Eldar", and quite enjoyed it. They're not just impractical spiky bits and scantily clad women! More interesting than I remember them being when they first came out for 3rd Ed.
And it's a good counterpoint to the Path of the Eldar series.

Some more of the Raider Gunship conversion today.
There's 2 ways to mix model parts together; one is to perfectly merge them so nobody would notice.
The other is to embrace the differences in the parts and play with the joins and make it look "built" in-universe.
Both can work.
With obvious brackets, rivets, and snaking cables, you can tell which way I went with this model.

The horrible old Haemonculus is nearly done, just some shading and highlighting tomorrow. And maybe some glazed coloured light.
I'm proud of his killer eyeliner.

The order of painting for this was:
1. Bone interior.
2. Yellow/orange blends.
2.5. All that was masked off.
3. Red through the airbrush.
4. Blue underside.

I ordered the grumpy Drukhari immediately, of course. That's the push I needed to finally paint my Fabius mini. I hope!

Some closer views of the front end of the Raider Gunship conversion.
The burst-cannon turret retains Tau markings on the gun, but Dark Eldar markings on the turret. This shows that they are not meant to be together, but have been made to work.
The added skull detail on the front is there because it fitted on nicely.The megaphone addition is for instilling dread in their enemies. Perhaps playing "Ride of the Valkyries" or something.
