I think my interest in #DarkConspiracy is a sign of just how far I’m drifting away from #TTRPG #mainstream. I couldn’t care less about your #Dungeons and #Dragons! My world isn't all about #d20, slaying monsters and looting. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they make of the #GDW classic.

For my next entry for the 2026 TTRPG Character Creation Jam, I decided to try making a character for Dark Conspiracy, the 1990s horror/conspiracy game from GDW.

I thought I could quickly find a fillable character sheet online.

After a few hours going through multiple DC fan forums, downloading all of the DC fanzines, searching Reddit, and even watching the promotional video for DC that was apparently shown in game stores - I ended up just making my own.

It was, however, an amusing way to kill a few hours.

I released a partial index of GDW's Challenge magazine today.

My goal was to work through all the #Traveller material for my #RPGHistory on the game, but along the way I also indexed all the other GDW games except Twilight: 2000 (which was just too extensive).

Hope to finish it some day, but for now #Traveller, #2300AD, #Space1889, and #DarkConspiracy fans should find it useful.
