Música para estudiar en YouTube: lo-fi, dark academia y qué poner según cómo te sientas

Y para mí, después de años entre apuntes, tesis y páginas en blanco, la música es media batalla. La correcta te mete en la burbuja; la equivocada te saca cada dos minutos. Aquí van los tipos de música que a mí me funcionan para concentrarme, casi todos gratis en YouTube, y cómo elegir según cómo te sientas ese día.
Porque no es lo mismo un día en que te arrastras hasta el escritorio que uno en que vas sobrado de energía. La música tiene que acompañar tu estado, no pelearse con él.
Lo-fi: el clásico para concentrarse
El lo-fi (de low fidelity) es esa mezcla de hip-hop suave, ritmos lentos y crepitar de vinilo que se ha vuelto la banda sonora de media biblioteca del mundo. Funciona porque tiene ritmo pero no letra que distraiga, y se repite sin cansar. En YouTube tienes emisiones de 24 horas como la famosa Lofi Girl, o buscando «lofi study» te salen cientos. Es mi opción por defecto cuando solo necesito no distraerme.
Dark academia: para los días melancólicos
Si el lo-fi es funcional, la dark academia es atmósfera pura. Es una estética nacida en internet que idealiza el mundo de los libros viejos, las bibliotecas antiguas, el latín y las tardes de lluvia. Su música suele ser piano, cuerdas, ambientes de tormenta y a veces cantos corales o clásica suave. Ponla cuando te sientas melancólico, cuando quieras que estudiar se sienta como una escena de novela. Busca «dark academia playlist» o «dark academia ambience» y quédate con la que más te envuelva.
Según cómo te sientas: melancólico o con energía
Este es el truco que más me ha servido: elegir por el ánimo, no por costumbre.
- Si estás melancólico o bajo de fuerzas: dark academia, piano, ambientes de lluvia, neoclásica (Ólafur Arnalds, Max Richter). Te acompaña sin exigirte.
- Si vas con energía y quieres aprovechar el subidón: lo-fi con algo más de ritmo, vídeos de «study with me», o incluso bandas sonoras épicas de cine para las tareas mecánicas.
La idea es que la música vaya con tu estado, no en su contra.
Otros sonidos que ayudan (y cuándo)
- Clásica sin estridencias (Bach, Chopin, Satie) para leer o escribir.
- Ambient y sonidos de naturaleza (lluvia, bosque, cafetería) si la música con ritmo te distrae.
- Ruido blanco o marrón para las tareas que piden concentración máxima y cero melodía.
No hay fórmula única: lo importante es probar y quedarte con lo que te mete en la burbuja. Y si el problema no es la música sino que no hay manera de ponerse, escribí sobre eso en los días en que no quieres escribir.
