Another visual backlog that is even more overdue from the #dariah2025 annual event in the old university town, Göttingen! Our @multilingualdhwg was well represented through a productive WG meeting, at the WG showcase, as well as during the DARIAH WG funding showcase, where I presented on our workshop about creating, managing, and archiving textual corpora in under-represented and under-resourced languages with Francesco Gelati, co-chair of the RDM WG). Thank you for the organization, @dariaheu

#dariah2025 the #Wikidata #Wikibase panel today was fantastic. I loved the concept of reusing existing infrastructure and community driven and owned services. Also happy to see that @nfdi4culture is taking up on this example. @christof thank you for your thoughts. The keynote connected the #storytelling topic of the #dariah2022 event with this year's topic #thepast. I'm also adding the @dariaheu hashtag of the conference #dariah2025

The Poster Session at #DARIAH2025 is open on the ground floor of Alte Mensa for all conference participants to engage in 👀

Deeply impressed just now by this idea of Gabo Arora in his keynote at the #DARIAH2025 Annual Event in #Göttingen:

Engineer S. S. Wilson in 1973: showed that humans are not very efficient in locomotion, but a person on a bike is extremely efficient!

Steve Jobs in 1984: Retells the story of the person on the bike, and then says computers to him are like that bicycle, but for the brain.

Gabo Arora: Can we do something like this for the heart, using virtual reality? The "Bicycle of the heart".

Kicking off the official first day of #DARIAH2025, we have our President of the Board of Directors Agiatis Benardou introducing the conference theme of "The Past" and thanking our local organisers, JRC, chairs, and everyone else that makes our Annual Event possible.
