Maybe I'll go to #DaniaBeach tomorrow, instead of #FortLauderdale. The camera is only catching a snip of the section of beach where I used to hang, but the main section is fairly empty, so the area north of the pier might be clear too.
I think I went on a weekend, so maybe weekdays are as I remember in the 80's and early 90's.
The pier restaurant was upgraded and has decent food and drinks. It used to a be a hut with hotdogs, hamburgers, fries and a few other items.

I'm usually further north, in the area just south of #SunriseBoulevard.
It's generally not quite as crowded, (historically), but I haven't been to the beach much in the 5 and half years I've been back, between (temporary) paralysis and recovery, and #COVID.
Before I moved back to #DC in '93, the section of #DaniaBeach between the pier and the park was my favorite, but it's not quiet and semi-private like it used to be.
