Spent a fizzer of a weekend in Dundee last weekend. Being a huge Beano and Dandy comic fan in my young days (look it up kids!) it felt like a homage. Shame only had literally 28 hours there ( with 2 football games!) but will definitely visit again. Waiting on a test roll on yet another new camera purchase, so here's a phone camera pic.

After doing many portrait studies of film stills to progress my painting style, I took it one step further with this one and tried out the things I've learned. So I created a portrait of a purely fictional character, loosely based on the appearance of Comte Robert de Montesquiou and a photograph of Nikola Tesla.
I imagine he is kind of a Dorian Gray-ish libertine and dandy - slowly approaching his tragical climax.
