I am in a Facebook group for parents of serious ballet students. A post was just made by a Canadian parent sharing that they are concerned about sending their child to summer training in the USA. Many parents responded writing, yes, it I were you, I would not send my child to the USA right now. Other Canadian parents responded with good alternative programs in Canada. #ballet #dancemom #fascism #boycotts

My daughter posted an instagram video of herself in the Nutcracker dancing the role of Clara. It was with a live orchestra for a local production in our county. Instagram removed the music saying that Warner Brothers has the rights to it. It feels that corporate owners want to claim rights to everything. I switched gears for much of the day today, from #maker to #DanceMom. Both my daughters will be dancing #bharatanatyam in their school talent show Friday and they’ve both grown and needed to trade in costumes from the school collection. I took the opportunity to work on a set of matching black and red #costume that were all higgledy-piggledy. I spent the afternoon reuniting mismatched parts and refurbishing pieces. All organized now!
