I now own 4 Dance Dance Revolution dance pads: 2 Gamecube pads, 2 Xbox 360 pads.

At the current rate of acquisition, I expect to have 36 by 2030. :ablobfoxexplode:

Need to determine which pad is better tho; I feel the X360 one because it uses USB, whereas the Gamecube one needs the Mayflash adapter, thus I could more easily use the USB pads with Project Outfox.

@wildrikku Ok I guess I'm doing this now... tried a couple songs.
- Once you got it configured, which is not as hard as some other Linux software, ITGMania just works.
- I forgot that the all-things-DDR community is much larger than the already crazy Beat Saber modding community.
- The plastic noises quickly fade when you turn the music up.
- I constantly lose track of my position on the pad due to having no bar and me having zero practice.
- THIS IS SO EXHAUSTING BUT FUN

A friend mentioned an old memory of being at a party and playing a Dance Dance Revolution-like game with the typical 3x3 grid thingy but (probably) on a console and a device like the Kinect. There doesn't seem to be a DDR-like Kinect game, but now I'm curious what it was. The only other cam I vaguely remember is the EyeToy but I can't name a single game that used that.

The mid-1990s leap from 2D games on the Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Master System to 3D games on the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 provided for behind-the-character perspective. This let the player see farther ahead of the character than would be possible in a side or overhead view. In turn, this allowed more open-looking worlds in action and adventure games, and it gave players of racing games more realistic times to react.

The leap from 1 to 4 MiB cartridges to 650 MiB discs allowed more appealing background music in a rhythm game like Parappa the Rapper or Dance Dance Revolution.
