That Dakotaraptor is awesome. This mornings iso did work for me. 7:49 minutes install, encrypted, tpm unlock, homebrew, distrobox, flatpak, GnomeOS. Most interestingly: this is not a distro, it's an image, with everything included. Hope the team will make a KDE Dakota. But this is great. Exciting tech that just works.

Obviously it turned out Aeon was ok, but I wanted else. RakuOS and AerynOS didn't do smb ootb. Started the journey bcs I wanted to have a go at Dakotaraptor, see the link below. That's where we are heading, boys and girls. Amazing project! It's alpha, it didn't work out for me right now. Running the latest Bluefin now, tomorrow it'll head out with me to the job.

Based on what I've seen in my twitter feed people just want to 'believe' that #Dakotaraptor is at the center of this controversy, not the Tanis paper. I don't advocate DePalma either, but people really need to know the subject of criticism. I think these dinosaur lovers who love showing off their knowledges have to learn how bivalves and brachiopods are different first.

It’s fair to say I was not prepared for the part where the researcher at the centre of this fraud controversy protested he can’t show anyone his source data because it was only ever known to one man and he is dead.
