⚫ 13 Überlebende aus einem Cayuco aus #Mauretanien wurden am Mittwoch in #Dakhla, #Westsahara an Land gebracht, nachdem sie von einem marokkanischen Fischerboot aus dem #Atlantik gerettet worden waren. Nach ihren Angaben starben mind. 70 Menschen bei der Überfahrt.

„Marokkanische Fischer sahen weit vor der Küste, mitten im Atlantik, ein Boot in Seenot. Sie retteten koordiniert vom marokkanischen MRCC 13 Menschen“, berichtete @HelenaMaleno.

late in the evening we reached #dakhla and pitched our tent between the cars of the frenchies. despite the wind shadow, the tent was shaken badly throughout the night. the wind even managed to open the zippers on the outer tent. 🙉

now we are here, in this incredibly modern city between the sheer infinite #sahara and the vast sea.
