🦺 Die 🚢SALVAMAR MACONDO rettete 200km südwestlich von #GranCanaria🇮🇨 48 Menschen, darunter 18 Männer, 24 Frauen, davon 3 schwanger und 6 Minderjährige aus der Region #Dakhla🇪🇭. Sie werden in Arguineguín an Land gebracht.

We are in contact with 47 people in distress fleeing to #Canarias.
They left #Dakhla 3 days ago in a zodiac. People are exhausted and report one dead body. We have informed @salvamentogob & they report a rescue operation ongoing.

late in the evening we reached #dakhla and pitched our tent between the cars of the frenchies. despite the wind shadow, the tent was shaken badly throughout the night. the wind even managed to open the zippers on the outer tent. 🙉
now we are here, in this incredibly modern city between the sheer infinite #sahara and the vast sea.

our minds are trying to realize that 1500km around us is only desert, wind, a handful gasoline stations and vast of nothing...
