Code comports and refactoring are still drudge work. At least now when you go there the speed ups are immediate. The older the code , the more the drudgery but there is something to be said for watching calculations that used to take hours complete in minutes and your coffee is still warm. That made it an official day off. Jam session followed and good time was had by all. Jams are what they are, locally or long distance. We are lucky that technology can enable certain localizations of things . It doesn’t have to to be perfect to bring people together for the purpose of making music. If we can hear each other we can respond in kind, and work out any slippage after the fact
