Oh boy. I forgot that I was playing an old playlist of mine this morning on YouTube.

Malfunction by Steam Powered Giraffe came on, and I started crying.

I remember when my ex-wife and I were talking about divorce. That music video came on. It was the first time I saw it. A trans girl had clued me about Bunny's transition. I did come across the band some years back, but I had not kept up with it. It was the first time I saw Bunny after her transition.

As soon as the song proper started, I started bawling my eyes out.

Why? Why did I cry?

I can point to two possible causes. I was crying for my own inner child, who was so often at odds with the rest of the world due to a malfunction that he did not know he had. I did not *know* when I came across this video that I was autistic.

I think I was also crying mainly for the kids in the video clip. Some of them, most likely with some heavy stuff. I'm a Daddy Dom who often has for partners kids much younger than himself. (All adults, thank you very much.) Part of my role as a Daddy is to support my partners with their health, including mental health.

In 2021, #Secondfloor and I bought some very neglected farmland and moved from Houston to Western CO to start a #homestead. Our first year in CO was pretty rough & we were basically glamping in an empty workshop with no water source, no plumbing, etc. We dug a well, built a bunch of stuff, and then ended up buying our neighbor's land + home which doubled the size of our farm but gave us better infrastructure thus freeing up time for me to start #smutposting again. 🥰
