But we don't have migration corridors. We have settlements and agricultural wastelands with pesticides everywhere.
Also, sinks start outgassing once ppm drops. So if your #NDC include negative emissions by DACS or CCS to undo a temperature #overshoot, to really remove 1t CO2 from the system, you must remove 1.5t once we're in the negative emissions phase.
Outgassing is a physical process to balance changes in atmosphere composition. But of course, when ppm drops considerably, it also changes °C and regional climate and hydrological cycles – again. So your ecosystem is going into adaptation mode all over again. Forests burn.. again.
Overshoot scenarios aren't a good idea, even if we had working technology and concepts. CO2 removal adds another stressful phase and prolongs adaptation to changing factors – for us and our human systems, and for ecosystems on land and in the ocean.

Od premiery w 2018 roku Sound BlasterX G6 zapracował na miano jednego z najpopularniejszych zewnętrznych przetworników DAC dla graczy i wymagających słuchaczy.
Teraz Creative odświeża swój udany sprzęt. Zamiast jednak rewolucjonizować sprawdzoną architekturę audio, producent postawił na pragmatyczny lifting – przestarzały port zastąpiono nowoczesnym interfejsem USB-C.
Sześć lat na rynku elektroniki użytkowej to wieczność, jednak w świecie audio dobre układy starzeją się znacznie wolniej. Pierwotna wersja G6 zdobyła nagrodę za innowacyjność na targach CES 2019 i szybko stała się rynkowym standardem dla osób poszukujących zewnętrznej karty dźwiękowej.
W nowej rewizji, nazwanej po prostu Sound BlasterX G6 USB-C, inżynierowie z Creative słusznie założyli, że solidnych fundamentów się nie rusza. Wewnątrz urządzenia zachowano tę samą architekturę. Sercem układu pozostaje wydajny przetwornik DAC współpracujący z autorskim, podwójnym wzmacniaczem słuchawkowym Xamp (w którym lewy i prawy kanał są wzmacniane całkowicie niezależnie). Utrzymano również rozbudowane funkcje procesora sygnałowego (DSP).
Co w praktyce daje USB-C?
Choć w papierowej specyfikacji zmiana złącza może wydawać się drobnym detalem, w codziennym użytkowaniu mocno rozszerza to użyteczność całego urządzenia. Zastosowanie portu USB-C rozwiązuje dwa kluczowe problemy współczesnych użytkowników:
- Stabilność zasilania: nowszy standard zapewnia znacznie lepszą i bardziej przewidywalną dostawę prądu. W przypadku zewnętrznych urządzeń audio klasy DAC/AMP, stabilne zasilanie jest krytyczne dla zachowania czystości sygnału i eliminacji niepożądanych zakłóceń.
- Prawdziwa mobilność: USB-C całkowicie otwiera G6 na bezpośrednią współpracę z nowoczesnymi smartfonami, tabletami czy mobilnymi konsolami. Użytkownicy nie muszą już żonglować przejściówkami i adapterami OTG, by podłączyć kartę do telefonu pozbawionego złącza słuchawkowego.
Decyzja Creative to klasyczny rynkowy pragmatyzm. Zamiast wymyślać koło na nowo i podbijać cenę kolejnymi, niekoniecznie potrzebnymi funkcjami, producent wziął sprzęt, który świetnie radzi sobie z dźwiękiem, i usunął jego największą (i w zasadzie jedyną) bolączkę – przestarzały interfejs fizyczny.
