    Stephen #Thaler, a #US computer scientist, lost his bid to register patents over inventions created by his #AI system in a landmark case in #Britain.

    The dubious inventions were devised by his "creativity machine" called #DABUS

    Thaler appealed to UK's Supreme Court, which unanimously rejected it, as under UK patent law "an inventor must be a natural person".

    It doesn't preclude a PERSON using AI to devise an invention.
