I'm so tired of every reboot having to be "darker.... GRITTER...more... *ANGSTY*!!!!" Ever since The Dark Knight trilogy, it's like that's Marvel/DC'[s only move when they want to "change" anything (without really changing anything)..
Personally for me, the lack of actually original change is why I stopped watching all of the superhero movies a few years back.
The only interesting exceptions have been Jupiters Legacy and to a lesser degree The Boys. Neither of which is DC/Marvel.

Journalism arrives in many forms, and one of them is a 20-year-old blog in the District of Columbia that documents the most local of happenings. 'Prince of Petworth' started in 2006 and its founder and lone employee, Dan Silverman, made it his full-time job in 2009. It's still going.
People can and have debated whether what he's doing is journalism, but he is documenting the city on a very granular level...I think that counts.
