Gibt es aktuell in Deutschland kaufbare gute #Dashcam's fürs #Fahrrad? Mindestens für vorne, ggf. auch für hinten.

Marktführend (aber auch preislich sehr hoch) scheint wohl #Cycliq zu sein, diese finde ich zum Kauf jedoch nur auf cycliq.com, wo dann nochmal 20 € Versand hinzukommen.

Wichtig ist mir auch eine rechtskonforme Nutzung, also mit anlassbezogener Aufzeichnung. Gibt es hier etwas zu beachten, weil dies z.B. nicht alle Cycliq-Modelle in gleichem Maß unterstützen?

Zudem stell ich mir die Frage, ob ich wirklich soviel Geld ausgeben muss. Denn ich möchte mich damit nur für meine eigene Sicherheit ausstatten und keine hochqualitativen Kinofilme erstellen 😉

Für auswärts sind die Radargeräte von Garmin für hinten eigentlich interessant. Das Kombigerät mit Kamera scheint aber keine gute Bildqualität zu liefern und auch die App-Bedienung ist nicht so dolle:

Schön wäre eine Bedienmöglichkeit ohne (große) Abhängigkeit vom Smartphone. Oder alternativ (aber utopisch) eine Opensource-App für Android z.B. via F-droid-Store.

Ich habe mal testweise die CycliqPlus-App via Aurora Store aus dem Google-Play-Store installiert und war überrascht, dass diese anscheinend ohne den heutzutage quasi üblichen Registrierzwang auskommt? Ich kann natürlich ohne Gerät keine Cycliq-Cam verbinden, kann aber anscheinend schon alle Einstellungen erreichen.

Meine #Cycliq Fly 12 CE hat nach nicht einmal 3 Jahren endgültig den Geist aufgegeben. Sie geht an und sofort wieder aus. Vermutlich der Akku, der natürlich (offiziell) nicht wechselbar ist. mal schauen, ob ich irgendwie mal reingucken kann. Ein paar Schrauben sind am Gehäuse.

It's designed for it... and still does a bad job.

I need to crop them to remove the on-screen date and time stamp. I need that on the videos for safety, but need to remove for uploading to #Mapillary

Schade, dass die #Cycliq für hinten spinnt. Heute hätte ich sie gerne am Anhänger gehabt, um mir Knalltüten in ihrer übermotorisierten Kompensationkarre, die mir mit Schrittgeschwindigkeit durch die verkehrsberuhigte Langestraße in #Offenburg mussten, auf dem großen Monitor anzusehen.

Da wollte ich heute meine neue Kamera fürs Fahrrad anbringen, aber weder am Bio-Bike noch am E-Lastenrad konnte ich diese mit der beigefügten Halterung anbringen. Die Fahrradlenker sind im Durchmesser einfach zu fett. Mal schauen ob ich es mit längeren Schrauben hin bekomme.
Wenn jemand vor dem gleichen Problem stand und eine andere Lösung hat, immer her damit ;-)

It was hellaciously windy, dark and dreary, a little rainy at times and some wet muddy patches but nice to get out.

That’s 2022 work finished. A year of challenges. The biggest was one I set for myself. I chose to reduce my carbon footprint by riding to work. I hadn’t been on a bike since high school but undaunted I picked up a 2nd hand hybrid bike. 16kg of bike plus panniers, loaded with a ‘gaming’ laptop (big screen, big battery and charger), lunch and a change of clothes.
I started out on bike paths and back roads, got a puncture on a trial run that lead to an ongoing series of punctures over the first 6 weeks of term. I wasn’t sure if this cycling thing was going to work out.
I kept at it, getting more used to the roads and sought smoother and shorter routes. I soon found that #perthdrivers don’t like to share the roads so I picked up #cycliq front & rear cameras. I switched to a backpack for better aero and bought a road bike.
I rode 5769 km this year, 4k of that on the hybrid. Not bad for not riding since high school.
I saved 1.6t of CO2 from not driving to work & gained a firsthand experience of how car centric culture kills cities & communities. I did this to see if I could, I won’t go back to car centric life and happy to champion transit solutions that are for the many and not the few.
