This old #MasonryArtch #bridge was especially widened by having a #SharedPath attached to it so that there’s a wall between busy motor traffic lanes and #cyclists and #pedestrians. I believe this work won an award for #CyclingInfrastructure.

For years and years, I thought #cycling was too dangerous a method of transport that it put me off buying a #bike. However, I’m going to share a few details around the city which, in various measures, make #biking safer, easier, more pleasurable, and more fun. We still have a long way to go to get to the levels of #CyclingInfrastructure of the #Netherlands or #Denmark but the #CityCouncil is trying do the right thing.
