It was a dark hot humid Monday in the middle of July, the storms brewing on the horizon, the clouds heavy with water, sirens in the distance as traffic goes on as usual, no one saw what was coming, in the darkness of those heavy clouds shrouded by cover, an invasion force of galactic cyborgs have come to strip Earth of what little resources remained after humans have desecrated the planet, with no viable method of defense humans found themselves quickly enslaved forced to harvest the planets resources for these foreign overlords, any resistance was met with quick termination, the governments and militaries of earth powerless and defenseless against a superior foe, humanity has quickly scummed to it's lowest morale in all of history, defeated with no way to fight back no way to defy no way to hide, as the rains poured and the winds blew humans forced to strip miles of the earth's crust, as the world was stripped of both its resources and humanity, it never dawned on anyone that even with out these extraterrestrial visitors humans have already been destroying their home and their existence, the irony that some outside force accelerated it was lost on the masses;

"World’s first cockroach diving suit actually works
A cyborg cockroach survived up to three hours underwater with an experimental new oxygen tank.
The next time an ambitious adventurer gets trapped in a flooded cave, the person coming to their rescue might not be a human at all. It might be a mind-controlled, diving-suit-wearing cockroach. Sorry, entomophobes.
These cyborgs are already being used in search-and-rescue operations and pipeline inspections, but so far those efforts have been limited to dry land. That’s changing. Researchers at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore 3D-printed a flexible diving suit that roaches wear like a backpack. A chemical oxygen generator inside of it creates oxygen when the bug swims underwater and pumps it through tubes connected to the spiracles the roach uses to breathe. In testing, the cyborg roach was able to move around and breathe underwater for up to three hours. That added ability could make the critters much more viable for longer search-and-rescue operations."

An example I made for my Halloween sale, wherein I depicted various meme animals in Halloween costumes or transformed into a creature, and would do so for your own pet. For this I enlisted a couple of friends to generate a few descriptive words to apply to the base memes. As you can see, Tsundere Shark has become a Cyborg.

Does that mean that we've not really been "just human" for thousands of years? We've actually been human/animal hybrids for thousands of years since we started riding horses to improve our movement speed and started training dogs to perform herding tasks for us? 🧐
(We've presumably then spent a few thousand years being human/animal/reading material hybrids since we started writing things down on stone and then paper!)

Writing my #Christmas #romance #novel has made me realize that all of my #MarySue #wishfulfillment #powerfantasy dreams involve having the luxury to offer #charity to those in need, strengthening #community bonds, and finding a #thirdplace for teenagers to hang out with in a nonjudgmental atmosphere. There's also #cyborgs and #catgirls, but we can't all be #CharlesDickens.

While working on my latest novel about #cyborgs and #cultists, I came up with a side plot idea. A character in the book is directing a #musical based on George Bernard Shaw's #pygmalion. It's a modern retelling about a haughty #AI #startup founder betting a #techbro billionaire that he could turn the #llm he wrote to be a #chatbot for a florist shop into a machine capable of solving any human problem. The name of the play is "My Fair AGI." This almost sounds cooler than the novel I was writing.
