@bastardsheep @aj As part of the #cybercleanse Im going through, highly recommend @Vivaldi which has start page search built in, which is fine for basic searches, granular image search, not so much. Vivaldi also has a free #noai rss reader.

Over the past decade, #Apple, #Google, and #Meta have collectively handed over the details of *more than 3.1 million user accounts* to U.S. law enforcement (source: https://proton.me/blog/big-tech-data-requests-surge).

The number of accounts shared by Google jumped 530%, Meta surged 675%, and Apple climbed 621% during this period.

@cyberlyra I'm gradually working through your #cybercleanse but wondering what you do about e-readers (I'm a bit of a kindle addict).

This year, this administration, and just big tech billionaire sellout bros have inspired me to do a #CyberCleanse including trying to get off the Gmail account I got when it was in beta... hundreds of years ago.

This is surprisingly harder than changing a legal name and pretty much anything else I have attempted to do in my life.

Today's #cybercleanse #optout #toxictech challenge by @cyberlyra is a tough one. About 5 years ago, I aggressively #Degoogled after being asked how I liked the restaurant. I just came back ... I tried 'e' and 'Lineage', and own a #linux #PinePhone but sadly, some banking apps require genuine #Android. Thus: For #Bike tours and #detox I use my #Nokia; a #filofax #calendar, and a mechanical #seiko watch. Now try to put an appointment in my calendar or to reach me by #WhatsApp 😉.
