It is so ridiculous & frustrating that as a patient with a problem that can only be solved through human conversation, I have to navigate umpteen menus & press a gazillion numbers, only to be shunted to a voicemail that cuts me off before I finish explaining the problem, leaving me to wait until a human somewhere listens to my voicemail and calls me back at their leisure.

I'm looking at you, #CVSPharmacy. This is why I prefer the place down the street that's employee-owned!

The American healthcare system is fucked and I wish I didn't have to interact with it. Latest thorn was trying to pick up an online order of COVID tests from the drive-thru pharmacy and, after 20 minutes in car line (stuck because there's barriers) I get told I have to go inside to pick up. I feel like crap and might be contagious. Good job, folks. I masked but still get sad dead dad† feelings mixed up with being physically too hot and now my sinuses are clear from crying.
†dad died of COVID and I'd hate to think I'd given COVID to someone else

CW: expletive-filled rant against CVS pharmacy

So I'm trying to get a medicine transferred to CVS. Johns Hopkins tells me they transferred it, but the local store does not have it. This morning Johns Hopkins put me into contact with someone at some sort of central location I guess. The CVS guy I talked to told me it would be taken care of.

So I've called CVS again a few minutes ago. First they have a fucking stupid idiotic phone tree that make me want to puke my guts out. It is FUCKING DESIGNED so that you CANNOT TALK TO A HUMAN.

"Hey would you like to download the app?"

"NOOOOOOO I WANT TO TALK TO A FUCKING HUMAN!"

I kept hitting 0 and that was just looping me through their idiotic bloody hell tree. This is fucking nonsense.

Phone calls are already a hurdle for me, DON'T MAKE THEM IMPOSSIBLE TO DO BY SENDING ME INTO MAZE!

Fuck you CVS. Fuck you very much!

AND THEY JUST FUCKING HUNG UP ON ME!
