Here's a video with some narration about the "#ant porch" I got from undergroundCiti a few weeks back. It has a little water mote and lets you interact with the ants close up and take photos. I might modify it to have its own lighting system. There is so such thing as "too much light" when photographing ants.
Enjoy! and let me know what you think.

Just added meat back to their diet and they are having a massive egg-boom. Used this amber light to show off their colors. Pogonomyrmex occidentalis (or as most call them ‘pogos’) have wide heads and simple little eyes. They mostly eat seeds and can in theory live on a vegetarian diet— but like most ants they can’t resist a dead fly, cricket, or roach. #antstodon #ants #pogos #Pogonomyrmex #harvesterants #cutebabies
