GURL (2020)Quan ens mariflipam de debò
No vos podeu imaginar la quantitat de pel·lícules que he vist aquests dies d’en Matthew Montgomery (i no sé ben bé per què, perquè no és bon actor). Per desembafar, però, he trobat un curt titulat GURL. No sé què passa amb les cintes australianes i, com en aquest cas, neozelandeses que em criden molt l’atenció.
Aquesta obra de només vint minuts està escrita i dirigida per en Mika X., com a homenatge a na Carmen Rupe, una activista trans maori i regent d’un prostíbul, famosa a Nova Zelanda a la dècada dels setanta i que ens conta molt breument, amb màgia i molta purpurina, la darrera nit de feina de na Gurl (Jay Tewake/Mika X.), ja que un client habitual seu li ha promès una nova vida. No acaba bé; ja ens ho sabem això.
GURL és una història senzilla (-1 Vince Vaughns) amb traç gruixat (3 Jim Carreys) i molta fantasia (3 Gilles Adriens), però amb un bon parell de moments excepcionals (2 John Cleeses). Una cinta feta amb més amor i art que mitjans i doblers (2 John Waters), que enlluerna i demana un segon visionat i un llargmetratge (1 David Lynch).
Vos agradarà si no sou pomots, no viviu al Vaticà i no sabeu com es diu el Papa. Deixau-ho anar si heu necessitat un any per descobrir que amor llegit a revés diu Roma, llegiu seguint el text amb el dit, sou fans d’en Broncano i les seves collonades o vos sabeu de memòria la biografia d’en Denzel Washington o el primsiula d’en Tom Cruise.
