There are numerous Ribes species- currants and gooseberries- here. All are attractive from their very early foliage, early flowers, mid season fruit in various colours and flavours and great fall colour, from pale in shade to blazing in sun.This one is growing on the edge of a wetland on the farm.

The clove currants on one bush are very big and a bit more red than the others. I have some from cuttings and others dug up from seedlings so I'm not sure if it's location or one of the seedlings. It is good soil but shaded where these are. Most of the others are full sun and most of them poor soil, or just rocky.
