I found out about #CurlyGirl as a side effect of my coconut allergy (which makes me allergic to the sulfates in shampoo).

Oh, and CurlyGirl works for all genders, just needs some level of wave or curl to benefit.

3. Cool rinse before plopping helps prevent frizz. For straight hair, silicones are used to prevent frizz, but they need harsh sulfates to wash out plus they are sticky (so you need to wash more frequently).

4. Using too heavy a curl product will straighten hair. Too light a curl product won't hold the curl.

5. A good detangler is worth it. (I use Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Detangler + Air Dry Spray, which works great and doesn't contain anything that harms curls.)

Decided any routine is better than my current “slowly destroy my hair in a dysphoric fugue” routine. So just grabbed whatever CG-approved products I could find.

Today’s plan:
- Reset wash
- Deep conditioning cream
- Detangle
- Leave in a touch of cream conditioner
- Plop with a long-sleeve T-shirt
