An update on #OurBostonBun: All signs point to an #Encephalitozoon #cuniculi infection (often abbreviated as E. cuniculi or, simply, #EC). Untreatable, the symptoms can be managed if not too bad, & caught soon enough.
We’ve realised that various odd behaviours over the last few months (including the one in the video) are very likely peti mal seizures.
Poor wee mite may very will need to be “put to sleep” soon. We’re all deeply saddened of course. Fragile wee things, buns are. They grab your heart & affection but don’t stay for long.
