Pre-#MrVain Pre-Serenity Pre-Tania (the strawberry thing is Pre-Jay, although also in here as this was the debut album) #CultureBeat. This is the first time I see this album and I only know one song from it (ok, 2 with the fruit) to this day. Torsten Fenslau had to wait a couple of more years to smash all those charts. For some reason I still remember that guy's death making the news at the time.

"Mr. vain" - Culture Beat
We'd had Eurodance before - Spagna and 2 Unlimited and many more - but this was different. Cooler. Harder. Funkier. Better.
Didn't directly inspire many hits, but the sound came back again and again later in the decade.
Torsten Fenslau was the producer behind this dance act, another massive talent who died far too soon.
Our mystery years were 1986 and 1993. Guitar heroes at the BBC next, Johnny Mathis on BBC2 tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!
