    In 1948 #Chickens costed around #USD 3 per #Bird.
    Which is over #Dollars 30 per Chicken adjusted for inflation, in today's money.

    That is expensive!

    PS: I remember my younger days in the #India of 1970's.
    #Mutton or #Meat or #RedMeat was far cheaper to buy. And, it was and still is, more delicious too!
