There is a lot to unpack in the last #WiardaBlog (science policy).

As a late effect of German #Zeitenwende universities seem to discuss their #Zivilklausel which are legal recommendations to not engage in military research. I think it clearly illustrates (again) how society drives values and culture in sicence, not the other way around. I am immediately curious: What societal event or culture will or can defy #CUDOS (Mertonian Norms of Science), or related principles identified as core pillars of science?
