  1. All the cucumbers, melons, squash, and 1 runner bean are up. I thinned everything to 2. When the first cucumber sprouted I looked at the bottom of the pot by chance and noticed there was already a root poking out! The hibiscus has another flower ready to open, the other fell off the same day I noticed it so I guess I missed it for a day or two.

  2. Our #AirConditioning unit probably hates us. We #pickled and #canned #cucumbers from the #garden because we have a ton and now the house is hot af.

  3. Peas, no peas.

The cucumber bed with more of not-cucumbers in it. Harvested some beets this morning, pulled the pea vines that were done enough, and removed the plastic mesh. There are 4 cucumber plants from saved seeds, and 2 small cantaloupe type melons from saved seeds in the bed besides the beets, marigolds, petunias, mystery plants I haven't pulled...

  4. They always grow really good when you're not ready to plant them out. This is all the squash, cucumbers, and melons. Everything good except one watermelon pot and I put more seed in it tonight in case the half sprouted thing doesn't grow a true leaf. They were all planted about 2 weeks ago.

  5. One of everything or more is sprouted except the yellow crook-neck that were planted later. Maybe it will warm up enough for these to be planted out after next week.

  6. The #garden is in full summer swing mode: #cucumbers, Swiss #chard, #tomatoes, #zucchini squash, #aubergine, #beetroots and #beans and #peppers and lots of other veggies allow for shopping the garden for meals. Best time of the year probably.

The aubergines are tricky, the "Casper" variety produces white fruit that are small but full of seeds. Another variety does not produce any fruit yet, flowers are falling off. More salads and winter leek are waiting to be planted so I might substitute.
