I used to think "AI killing us all is unrealistic, nobody would just plug it into the nukes" but I have since come to the conclusion that, yes, AI will kill us all because yes, some AI-addled, brainlet cryptobro will fucking plug it into the fucking nukes. It fails repeatedly, burning THEM and they keep insisting that everyone who's skeptical of it are actually the crazy ones.

Just finishing the #book 'Crypto Confidential: Winning and Losing Millions in the New Frontier of Finance' written by #cryptobro Nathaniel Eliason.
It does not paint a nice picture of the culture of greed and gambling. It also confirms how a technology that could have some useful use cases (once passed the incredibly steep learning curve, which by itself is an open challenge) has been taken completely over by speculators and #scammers.
Fortunately, most of this seems to be nowadays in the past.

I’m stunned anyone takes white papers seriously, at all. My approach is the one I still think is the best, and has worked for me — it doesn’t matter if it has an actual purpose, what matters is that everyone else thinks it’s has value. At it’s core, it’s just busywork for computers that adds nothing worthwhile to the world. That’s it. It’s just another empty #tech promise. #cryptocoin #cryptocurrency
