  1. @daedalus just read the #crux and loved your bit at the end. I have a similar history to you - a lot of contract and consulting work, but with retirement a little closer than I could admit, an opportunity came up with a team that I had worked with previously over many contracts and so I took the pay cut for the security of knowing that the last 5years or so of my ‘career’ I won’t have to do another job hunt. I should have done it earlier. The people are really great, the job is worthwhile and my boss cares and fights for his team. Have made some great friendships and we have done things together outside of work and ‘work drinks’. Very happy to have this as the last line of my resumé.

  3. Already looking forward to the next #Crux from @daedalus about goose value and ASI and I’ve not even got out of bed yet.

  4. Reading the #crux this morning and the last line touched me.

‘Why not be the sun for your own little solar system?’

So much meaning in so few words.

    Thanks @daedalus

  6. Here we have part of the #MilkyWay.

Near the centre we have #Crux, the #SouthernCross, along with the #CoalSack.

Now to share a bit of what I have learned about how the traditional custodians of where I live call things.

Pretty much everywhere the Coal Sack is the head of Wetj, the Emu.

In #Whadjuck #Noongar lands, Crux is Waalitj, the Wedge-Tailed Eagle, but in #Yued lands Crux and the Pointers are Yongka - the kangaroo, with Crux forming the head, and the Pointers being the front paws.

#Dwarf3 wide angle, post in Stellar Studio and #Snapseed.
