i've been working on a punk themed crossword puzzle for the next @The_Counterforce issue. Holy Crap making crossword puzzles are so hard! No wonder newspaper crossword puzzle makers are doing it as a full time job.

@shriramk Those are almost all #crosswordPuzzle words, which makes me think the rotation property seems to go along with containing a lot of vowels.

I am only missing three letters in my #CrosswordPuzzle. Each of them is the third letter in a five letter word. 🤔

I was solving a #CrosswordPuzzle and one of the clues was: ‘location of a #TeaCeremony’, eight letters, third one A, second to last one S.

And I was like: ‘Ahaaa! I know this one, what was it called?! Arrrgh!’

So I cheated, looked it up (#Chashitsu), and was like: ‘Aaah, yes. Of course!’

I filled it in: CHASHI… wait! That’s one letter too many. Is there a different spelling? It is chashitsu. It must be!

You know what the solution was in the end?

Bloody TEAHOUSE!!1one 🤦

Signed up for online version of 2023 American #CrosswordPuzzle Tournament (#ACPT). While I’d have liked to go back in person, compete officially, and see friends, airfare was too expensive, so I’ll watch via stream and solve on my Mac

New hobby. I'm just on about a "Monday" level right now.

We don't have a printer at home, so I went to a print shop for students near a university. After some sampling we found a paper which is fountain-pen friendly.

Using Baystate Blue puts the pressure on me to pay attention & not rely on simply erasing wrong guesses.
