One of the things I love about having a 3d printer is thinking "huh, I wish I had a very specific item for organizing X" and now I have a hook designed to hang embroidery hoops, in a color that matches my craft/bed room. For me, 3d printing isn't a hobby itself, but it makes all my other hobbies better.

Progress on my next project. I thought I might get some q-snaps for Christmas, so I've been working in-hand. Unfortunately, I did not receive any cross stitching gear, so that has been ordered and will arrive on Sunday. Even more unfortunately, my hands, although always cold otherwise, overheat at the mere mention of Aida, and now my project smells of sweat. 🦨

Decidi dar início oficial ao meu maior projeto de #PontoCruz da vida: uma tapeçaria enorme de Zelda, por Fey Fabrics (Instagram abaixo).

Separei um micro etamine de mais ou menos 2m X 1,40m, fiz uma base com caneta que apaga pra eu saber mais ou menos o tamanho. Agora vou fazer uma borda à mão pro tecido não desfiar (muito), pra durante a semana pintar de um marrom claro pra então começar a bordar.

Deseje-me sorte, vai levar anos pra terminar isso, mas vou tentar atualizar aqui pra vcs acompanharem também =)

Things are going well. Slowly but I’m having fun. Last time I tried to pick cross stitch back up, my anxiety didn’t let me enjoy having a still mind. So the iPad won as my major recreational activity. But I’ve played every good idle game I can find, so.

Cross stitch was one of the few femme-coded crafts that I enjoyed as a kid. My parents had a craft store, I was in 4-H, and I did Mormon activities in the girls group, so I got to try lots of girl things! And I hated them! And I was told I had to like them!

But #CrossStich, that’s regular, counting, tiny, square. Analytical. And socially approved of by my subculture.
