So, a little Rynek Kolejowy drop: Koleje Dolnośląskie (Lower Silesian Railways) will take over the remaining Głogów-Zielona Góra trains from Polregio, having previously been given all trains running through from Wrocław. The Zielona Góra-Żary-Węgliniec-Görlitz route will remain with Polregio for the time being despite speculation and the voivodeship's continued disappointment with the company's performance. The Lubusz Voivodeship also confirmed their Lower Silesian counterparts' earlier announcement that they will be running Legnica-Cottbus trains (as seen at https://mastodon.com.pl/@HaTetsu/116438917153980057): https://www.rynek-kolejowy.pl/wiadomosci/koleje-dolnoslaskie-zastapia-polregio-na-trasie-glogow--zielona-gora--152732.html

Meanwhile, Kuyavia-Pomerania is bragging about having reached an agreement with Greater Poland to have 8 pairs of trains from Poznań extended to Kcynia, 6 of them onwards to Nakło nad Notecią in "2027". Could be 2027/8, but who knows, revitalized railway lines have been opening at various times of the year:

#PKPIC planning to double Kraków-Bielsko-Biała ICs to 8 pairs in 2 hour Takt from 2026/7 timetable, travel time down to 1h10m, 3 pairs running through to Żywiec. This route probably looks weird to German (why is this not an RE?) and French (What is this weird not-TGV not-TER thing?) eyes, but it makes a lot of sense in our weird organization of passenger rail!

And last and most: The Ministry of Infrastructure has announced trains are going to reach the west Podlachian town of Łomża, deprived of passenger rail since 1993, this June! …However, the initial offer will not include the promised direct connections to Warsaw. The first #PKPIC route to connect Łomża will run Białystok-Łapy-Łomża (direction change)-Ostrołęka-Szczytno-Olsztyn, instead. There will be 2 pairs a day of those, and also 4 pairs of Polregio trains to Białystok. All these trains will use a new curve in the direction of Białystok being constructed at Śniadowo. The exact timetables are still being constructed and will be announced, well, when PKP PLK announces timetable changes.
The cited reason for the lack of direct connections to Warsaw is twofold: One, PKP IC is still short on Diesel rolling stock, pending the delivery of Newag Impuls EDMUs - the Białystok-Łomża-Olsztyn trains are to be run with ex-Dutch DM90 units rented from SKPL Cargo (which are to be painted in the livery used on PKP IC's Flirt and Dart EMUs as a sign of commitment to long-term usage). Second, capacity is reduced between Ostrołęka and Tłuszcz, a major junction north-east of Warsaw, due to engineering works. The national carrier expects to start running Warsaw-Łomża from the March 2027 timetable change: https://www.rynek-kolejowy.pl/wiadomosci/pociagi-dalekobiezne-z-lomzy-do-olsztyna-a-nie-do-warszawy--126559.html5/5

#PKPIC will cut stops in Kuźnia Raciborska (a small town of 4600 between Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Racibórz) for some trains. Although the official reason are safety concerns due to the short (~100 m) platforms, and a request to move stop location indicators ~20 m beyond the end of platforms was filed with PKP PLK, the company's press office noted demand is "tiny". Kuźnia sits at a voivodeship border and regional services are provided by the Opole Voivodeship. However, out of existing IC connections, only one pair provides access to the Upper Silesian Metropolis around Katowice, so I have to admit, I'm not sure what to think about this: https://www.rynek-kolejowy.pl/wiadomosci/pkp-intercity-ograniczy-liczbe-postojow-w-kuzni-raciborskiej--126422.html
