Prejudice will cause one to adopt extreme and ridiculous positions.

Through his body on the cross, Christ set aside the law with all its commands and rules. He planned to create one new people out of Jews and Gentiles. He wanted to make peace between them. Ephesians 2.15 NIVr.
Jesus brought people together the right way, through his sacrificial death. That’s the only way to do it still.

The suffering of the cross caused Jesus great grief. He accepted it for our salvation.

But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Galatians 6.14 NET.
Human beings have nothing within themselves to boast about. Nothing of theirs can recommend them to God. Christ’s sacrifice contains all their reasons for boasting ─ this is what occupies them and fills their conversations.
