We need to take action against organized cross-border crime, which cost us 5.4 billion euros in 2021 according to the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO). It's a huge amount of money that shows how important it is to have a strong European prosecution authority to uncover criminal activities that cross borders. We need to increase the budget and powers of EPPO to keep up with the growing organized crime. Unfortunately, some countries like Poland, Hungary, Ireland, and my own country Denmark are not participating in the EPPO cooperation, which only benefits criminals. That's why I urge these countries to join EPPO as soon as possible so we can effectively secure Europe against cross-border crime. If we want to make sure that criminal activity doesn't pay off, everyone must participate fully in the cooperation. Thank you!
