I don't remember exactly when I started this, probably high school. Anyway, 20+ years later it's finally done. I'd finished off the crosses and started the backstitching a couple years ago but had dropped it again.
- Crosses with 3 strands on 14-count is too chonky for my taste. (not helped by teenage me stitching one at a time instead of by rows.)
- The outlining was so tedious and some of it isn't contrasting enough to be visible at all -
Under the moonlight, glowing gourds shimmered in autumn hues, their hollow eyes dancing with mischief.

I do a LOT of full coverage pieces, so I don’t splurge on fancy cloth too often, but I swear, the photos don’t do this one justice & I absolutely love it.

I HATE backstitching. So much so that I almost never buy patterns that include it.
This one was small enough, I suffered through.
Unfortunately, the place I bought it from appears to be gone now.

I try to keep one or two "palette cleanser" projects kitted up at all times so when I get overwhelmed by the big projects I tend to gravitate towards, I have something I can pull out where I can see fast progress.
Instead of ordering supplies for a small project I already have the pattern for, I went pattern shopping yesterday, fell madly in love with this - which is NOT a small project - and ordered supplies for it instead. Oops.

One of the projects from the mixed up pile of floss last #WIPWednesday is officially back in action for this one.
This is Beachfront Home by @infinitybear and I've been working on it on and off for what seems like years at this point, every time I pick it up I remember how much bigger than expected it is! Today saw some progress on the sky, while binge watching driving mock test videos 🙈
Determined to get this one done. It is officially on the #FinishOrFrogAlong list and that's final.
