  16. Tin soldiers and Nixon coming
    We're finally on our own
This summer I hear the drumming
    Four dead in Ohio.

Gotta get down to it, soldiers are cutting us down
Should have been gone long ago
What if you knew and found her dead on the ground
How can you run when you know?

Gotta get down to it, soldiers are cutting us down
Should have been gone long ago
What if you knew and found her dead on the ground
How can you run when you know?

    Tin soldiers and Nixon coming
    We're finally on our own
This summer I hear the drumming
    Four dead in Ohio.

    Four dead in Ohio.

    Four dead in Ohio.

lyrics are to #Ohio, by CSNY #CSNY #CrosbyStillsNashYoung.

yes, this is commentary on what's been happening at #University campuses all over the world fighting the good fight and bringing attention to the atrocity and genocide happening right now in #Gaza and #Palestine at the hand of #IDF forces and the government of #Israel. bringing attention to carpet-bombing over 35% of the country of a nation of children. the fact that #Netanyahu's government considers Palestinian boys as young as eight and nine years old to be #Hamas fighters.

the protestors where the talk is of the threat to the safety of Israeli and Jewish college students. the fact of the matter that apparently everyone's such delicate snowflakes that they can't take a little criticism.

the violence right now comes from #Zionist agitators or other agents provocateur. I've seen that even at my university, which has had (small, peaceful) demonstrations, Jummah prayer services dedicated to ending the violence, and candlelight vigils.

even at my small university it ends on on #Facebook and #NextDoor #NeighborhoodWatch groups within fifteen minutes of when it starts, blown wildly out of proportion with fear-mongering and rampant #Islamophobia spread by otherwise liberal Jewish communities. from affluent areas of course. class is a factor in this.

one of my professors, who is a department chair, commented that she hoped the protestors got what's coming to them; I'm still waiting to receive that screenshot from a trusted source.

and then the Zionists show up and stage not a small and contained counterprotest but an act of #DomesticTerrorism instead. instead of doing what they're supposed to do, they get out their cell phones, spread it, and start checking the event happening, creeping inward like vultures. the younger ones yell taunts and jeers and "Go home!" "Terrorists!" "Oh no, it's Hamas!" and so many more that make me legit sick to my stomach just thinking about that they purported to be the same religion I am, to try to incite violence. on my campus they haven't yet done so, but they're trying.

and to be clear, the folks who show up to agitate aren't university students and have nothing to do with the university. they're community members, grown men in their 40s and 50s, men in nice suits and work clothes and men with peyos and tzitzis and black hats, men arm in arm and jumping up and down in celebration of their attempts to try to intimidate and scare off 18- and 19- and 20-year-olds who want peace and an end to the violence against their people, or people standing in solidarity with them. they're trying to create violence against the professors trying to keep the peace and keep students safe.

there wasn't any #Police presence or #PoliceViolencr at my university campus—and if it weren't for the threat that there might still be violence involved I would have gone##, but I'm not able bodied enough for that anymore lolsob getting older lolsob—but that seems to be the exception not the rule.

    how long before it's not just local and campus police? how long before it's #KentState all over again? #Genocide #HotTake #IsraelPalestine #IsraeliWar #IsraeliWarCrimes #NeverAgain #NotInMyName #PalestinianGenocide #WarCrimes
