So, I questioned the nurse after the procedure if I had dietary restrictions and she said none. So, the day after the colonoscopy I ate sauerkraut (to repopulate my gut biome) raw carrots, I ate green beans towards the evening, salmon for dinner.

Peanut butter on a rice cake for a bedtime snack.

At about 6:30 in this morning I wake my excruciating stomach pain. Have to vomit. Can't vomit. Dry heaves. Abdominal pain

At 12 noon the diarrhea starts in. It's about 2:47 pm and I'm still going at it.

I read online documents on post colonoscopy care and found that a restricted diet is RECOMMENDED during the first WEEK after the colonoscopy

I know this is graphic, but I'm pooping out nonstop carrots. Carrots. Carrots. Carrots 😭

I can't hold down any liquid whatsoever. My inclination is to halt all drinking for several hours until the diarrhea stops.

The doctor office is closed so I can't ask them for advice.

Does anyone have experience with this? Thank you so much
