  3. Cripple Punk Motifs in Tank Chair

    The ongoing postapocalyptic manga embodies the ethos of cripple punk --- that disabled people can be rude, angry, messy, and not just perfect, suffering angels

  5. Newsflash, abled, allegedly neurotypical fuckshits,

    Tylenol doesn’t cause autism.
    Nor do vaccines.
    Neurodivergent people having hot, wild sex does, and GUESS WHAT, fucknugget, if you have an autistic kid, you or someone in your family is probably autistic and you’re projecting your fear and shame and eugenicist bullshit onto them. Your kid doesn’t deserve that.
    Pregnant people deserve comfort and choices.
    Bodies shouldn’t be political battlegrounds. Period.

    Do y’all really hate disabled people so fucking much that you’d rather your kid suffer from easily preventable disease and risk becoming – guess what – disabled than have them be autistic because you heard about a study that’s long since been proven false?

    If you do, you probably shouldn’t be a parent at all, because you’re exactly the sort of slimy motherfucker who will end up being your kid’s first bully if they end up being any sort of different from the perfect little reflection of you you have in mind. From the bottom of my heart and with the entire force of my crippled, neurodivergent ass, fuck you.

    Sincerely,

    -Lazarus

  6. I saw this post yesterday.

    I have some things to say about it.

    Fuck the hardliners, as long as you’re doing your best to be a decent human being, all progress is good progress and the best praxis is to start right now with exactly what you have. There is no single definition of what being a “good leftist” looks like, and even if there WERE, there would need to be accommodations made for disabled people, Mad people, poor people, cultural nuances, etc..

    Additionally, as an ex Mormon and a cripple punk, I wish leftists who talk like rebranded Christians would understand how nonsensical their takes sound. Nothing will get fixed without real progress and real work from real people, and that involves being patient when people fuck up, working together in community, and actively building a better world together, however we all can contribute, no matter how small. There will be no Revolution without progress made in the first place ffs.

    So if all you could do is survive and take care of yourself today, I think that’s good praxis. Self care is community care, and I’m glad as fuck you’re still here. If all you can do is share memes and news, that’s a form of activism in and of itself, and I think that’s good praxis. If you’re making art, writing things, being a performer or creative in any way, even if you’re only sharing it with your friends, partner(s), and/or family? Art is political. This, too, is good praxis. If you can do more? Badass. That’s also good praxis. Please don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

  9. Well, it’s almost 7:30 AM, I’m nauseated, so I’ve been doing some light reading.

    And it appears that there are more people who also said “fuck it” to systems in play going on in the world right now and are also rolling with the punches while trying to build better ways of doing things. One of those people is English professor Jem Bendell. I’m not sure yet if I agree with everything he’s doing/believes in (but then again, do you ever?) because I’m still exploring and contemplating all that he has to say, but he did publish a fascinating piece on his site back in February 2024 about deep adaptation to climate crisis, massive social change, and collapse, and how sometimes saying fuck it and making a huge life change in light of all of that is the least risky option.

    Given everything that’s going on politically here in the States, I think it’s well worth the read and to do some thinking about, even if you don’t agree with most or all of what he says.

    Cool shit.

  10. Have a Creature I painted!

    This Batshit Creature comes from a question the Zelda System asked me – “if you could design a stuffed animal based off of yourself, what would it look like?”

    He’s based off of an endangered species in New Zealand known as the tuatara, has three eyes, and is definitely missing a foot, lol.

    I absolutely want this stuffie now.

  11. Ok. I'm gonna get a pristine brand new walker ("walking frame") just to get mobile again after I broke my friggin good ankle - just for symmetry reasons, because the cerebral palsy on the left side felt lonely.

    Please suggest how I could improve and enhance the walking frame! Have 3D printer, willing to abuse it.

    What I already have on my mind:

    * Big honk
    * Can holder
    * GPS a/o mobile phone holder
    * Dream Catcher
    * Ashtray

    Any suggestions?

  12. Just published the very rough alpha of Corporeal Conisderations!

    it's a disability-centered solo TTRPG and character generator to make *realistic* characters!

    aldercone.itch.io/corporeal-co

    turns out, there's a lot to consider when you are corporeal! (in fact i need to consider all the inflammatory pain bullshit because I have severe #MEcfs and I spent not enough time resting while making this, oops)

  13. People don’t realize this is ableist bigotry. Disabled people aren’t practice kits for society at large to learn to be "better" people. Anyone can become disabled at any time. Illness and accidents, even intentional acts, can all lead to a person becoming disabled.
