Breaking: Palestinians in Hebron attack area given 5 minutes to evacuate their homes
"The Israeli bulldozers started demolishing structures and buildings around the area where the attack has happened. According to local sources, they say that people were given only five minutes to evacuate their homes before these demolitions started.
We are talking about threats coming from left, right, and centre. We listened to Itamar Ben-Gvir, the national security minister, say that the Palestinian Authority should be dismantled.
We also heard Bezalel Smotrich saying that demolitions will target illegal structures that were built without a permit. Needless to say, Israel almost never gives these permits to Palestinians, and that’s why they have to build without them, to allow for the natural growth of the population.
This could be one of the fastest times we’ve seen these demolitions being concluded and being requested and implemented since an attack happens.
Usually, when an attack takes place, the perpetrator’s home gets demolished, but that requires the family to be notified, and sometimes given a chance to appeal that decision.
Of course, that appeal never goes through, and eventually, the demolition happens, but that due process is being deprived here, potentially, because some of these homes have been alerted previously that they will be demolished.
But it cannot be disconnected from what the Israeli right and far right is doing, which is using this attack as leverage, as fuel, for their electoral campaign. They are showing force, showing violence, using these demolitions that are happening right now as a way to lobby for more votes. To show Israelis that they are cracking down on Palestinians, even those who had nothing to do with the attack."

Tied up and tortured: Israel using US-made electroshock weapons on Palestinian detainees
"The soldiers drag the man into a section of the prison known as Hell’s Wing, a metaphor for its notoriety for acts of brutality. Shoving him violently into a corner, they take a step back before one of them draws his weapon and fires two rubber bullets at his body. The man, a double amputee, collapses to the floor.
After tying him up tightly, the soldiers continue their assault until one of them pulls a stun gun from its holster. The soldier approaches the man, brandishing the gun, before applying it to his body, engulfing him in an electric shock.
This is what Essa* says happened to him during a period in Israeli detention. Today, more than a year and a half later, the scars from the electric shocks remain visible on his body. The close proximity of double scars suggests he was subjected to repeated shocks while in a “tightly restrained” position, says the International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims."

"The Washington Post photojournalist who was attacked and seriously injured by Israeli settlers in the West Bank on Friday has described how she was saved with the help of local Palestinians.
Heidi Levine sustained four fractured vertebrae, two broken ribs and four puncture wounds when she was knocked to the ground and repeatedly beaten by a crowd of masked settlers while she and other journalists were covering the olive harvest in the Palestinian village of Abu Falah, north of Ramallah.
It is unclear whether the puncture wounds were caused by knives or other weapons. Levine said a witness to her attack had seen nails sticking out of some of the wooden clubs wielded by her attackers."

"Israeli forces have detained more than 2,000 Palestinian children since October 2023, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said.
In a report released on Wednesday, the Palestinian rights group said Israeli authorities continue to escalate their targeting of Palestinian children. At least 350 Palestinian children are currently facing “harsh conditions” in Israeli prisons.
On Tuesday, Israeli forces arrested at least six children from Hebron in the occupied West Bank, the report said.
The organisation said information regarding the number of children arrested in Gaza is unclear, given the thousands of missing persons in the besieged Gaza Strip, including children, and the ongoing policy of enforced disappearance.
The group said Israel’s policy of detention without charges or a release date constitutes “an additional violation and crime that leaves children facing the unknown and deprives them of family and educational stability”."
