Ich muss heute ein paar zusätzliche Ornamente plotten, da ich gestern haufenweise Verschnitt hatte. Leider schneidet der #Cricut teilweise nicht richtig, sodass sich die Motive nicht entgittern lassen. Woran das liegt, weiß ich nicht. Die Klinge kann es eigentlich nicht sein, denn andere Ornamente klappen plötzlich wieder. 🤷♀️ Hab sie gestern trotzdem mal gewechselt.

they aren't selling white ones yet, and i got a case that's not my favorite color, but i do own washi tape, a Cricut, and some calipers, so... (^_^)
(p.s. the vinyl is a prototype, and it ended up too big, but it's time for dinner right now. my calipers and i shall return anon.)

Heute werfe ich mal wieder den #Cricut an, um testweise einige der „Unangenääähm“-Aufkleber herzustellen. 😁 Die Funktion Drucken und Schneiden habe ich bisher nur einmal verwendet, glaube ich. Ich bin gespannt! Eigentlich möchte ich sie nämlich selbst herstellen und nicht extern drucken lassen, aber ich muss mir die Qualität erst mal anschauen. Bin halt keine professionelle Druckerei. 😂 Bei den Lesezeichen ist der Druck aber 🤌🏻.

As a kid growing up in the seventies, I latched onto #StarTrek hard. It was on in syndication every single day, and I absolutely ate it up. I also bought as many of the plastic model kits as I could afford. Each one came with a paper advertising iron-on art for putting on t-shirts.
Lucky for me, young Tom saved one of those papers so that current Tom could scan it and carve it up to make stickers with my #Cricut rig. This was the final dress rehearsal, using cardstock. Couldn't be much happier!

After several months of procrastination, I finally spent the time this afternoon trying a print-then-cut project on my wee #Cricut Joy Xtra. I came away with absolutely nothing I could use, but that wasn't the point. I needed to see how the process works so I know how to prepare the images I want to use as stickers. I have a lot of work ahead of me before finally printing things I *can* use, but it will be worth it when the time comes. Oh yes; it will.

I want to make stencils. However, my current use case is on a shot glass. A previous use case was on an object the size of a quarter.
I think I want a #cricut but I'm not sure how small of detail I can get.
For the glasses, I think I need letter heights ~= .25 inches (keeping in mind that the details of those letters are much smaller)
For the quarters, I wanted arbitrary icons/shapes so the size may be less of an issue
Is this doable? How fiddly is it? Assume I am a person who likes solving problems but has a 3 week deadline. Oh also, what model?
Also also, how locked into the software/system would I be? Like, am I forced to use a subpar app? Can I only use their fonts for a
example? Is #inkscape or similar workable? -
