Snake's-head Fritillary, taken last Sunday at #Cricklade North Meadow, #Gloucestershire, which is pretty much the best place in the UK for them. They flower in vast numbers in a good year, although a lot of them were taking a year off this year as the meadow was still flooded in parts. #WildflowerHour #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers #plantscience #photography
