In today's match between England and Sri Lanka, Sam Curran has just taken only the second hat-trick by England in T20 internationals, after Chris Jordan's against USA at Bridgetown in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
It's Curran's third T20 hat-trick in all - he's already done it in the IPL and The Men's Hundred. His brother Tom has one in the Blast.

World first-class record!
Pakistan Television defend a target of 40, defeating Sui Northern Gas Pipelines by 2 runs at Karachi in the President's Trophy.
Fast bowler Amad Butt took 4-28 in 10 overs and slow left-armer Ali Usman a sensational 6-9 in 9.4 as they routed SNGPL for 37.
They beat a 232-year-old record set when Oldfield skittled MCC for 34 chasing 41 at the old Lord's in 1794.

In the current Test at Bengaluru, India scored 46 in their first innings and 462 in their second. The only other instance of a Test team scoring at least ten times as much in one innings as the other was in 1924, when South Africa were all out for 30 v England at Birmingham then made 390 following on - a ratio of 1:13. They still lost by an innings...
A once-in-a-century event!

On 26 August 1920, Percy Fender of Surrey scored the fastest authentic first-class century in terms of time at the crease: just 35 minutes versus Northamptonshire at Northampton.
There have been four faster hundreds in contrived circumstances.

Correction: A previous case of 11 players with at least one catch in a Test has been found: New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Wellington, March 2023. (In fact 12 different players took catches, including a substitute!)
Some scorecards incorrectly give Henry's catch to Southee. So we can now say that Ireland equalled the Test record during their victory over Zimbabwe at Stormont this week, with all 11 players holding a catch during the same Test match.

Ajeet Singh Dale's 63 for Gloucestershire v Essex in yesterday's Metro Bank One-Day Cup match at Bristol equalled the List A record for a No. 11, set by Bill Taylor for Nottinghamshire v Sussex in a Gillette Cup game at Trent Bridge in 1975.
Taylor's 63, from 31 balls, set up a four-run win for Nottinghamshire; sadly, all Dale's 34-ball 63 could do was reduce Gloucestershire's losing margin - to 63.

Sadly, though Imran Butt went on to a double-hundred, Lahore Blues did not achieve a third century in their innings, so Lahore Blues v Multan finished with a mere eight hundreds, one short of equalling the first-class record. https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/quaid-e-azam-trophy-2023-24-1396831/lahore-region-blues-vs-multan-region-24th-match-1396868/full-scorecard
But Multan's six hundreds in an innings earlier in the match have equalled Holkar's long-standing record of six v Mysore in 1945/46.

Multan have equalled a world record set by Holkar in March 1946 by scoring six centuries in their innings of 718-8 declared v Lahore Blues in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. https://stats.acscricket.com/Records/First_Class/Overall/Team/Most_Hundreds_in_an_Innings.html
Lahore have scored two more hundreds in their reply, so with a day to go there's a chance of equalling or surpassing the record of nine centuries in a match. https://stats.acscricket.com/Records/First_Class/Overall/Team/Most_Hundreds_in_a_Match.html
