After filming all day, we arrived at our last location, the Fog City Diner, an hour before they closed. After half an hour, every department was “pre-staged”, just standing around in front of the restaurant, waiting. Around 9:30, Robin Williams stepped out of the diner, asked what was happening, and gave us an impromptu set about the travails of Crew Life, until the place closed at 10, and we had to go to work.
