I watched through the first season of Creature Commandos. It's a very enjoyable show. At an aesthetic level it's in-line with the other DC shows that HBO/Max have been putting out, which is solid in my opinion. The Gogol Bordello songs brought in for some of the soundtrack mostly worked and it's fun music either way.

I'm actually pretty happy with the writing. Several episodes weave a character's backstory into the present action and I think that's really effective, if heavy handed, at making sure the characters are who they are for a reason and ensures who the characters are drives the story.

To be clear, it's very gory and is in the same line as Suicide Squad. If Suicide Squad is too much for you, this is comparable, so don't feel bad sitting it out.
