I still remember that I have been defending myself from online bullying and trying to create a new ethical use licence. Any content created by me moving forward, if anyone uses it, they agree to the licence terms, including no bullying and no harassment. Moreover, they downvoted my post. This is inappropriate and victim-blaming. Fediverse users refuse to take responsibility and cause further harm to users. Lemmy.world will never take accountability or responsibility, except by hiding evidence of abuse and shifting blame to victims.

I am tired of living life. Exploitation is everywhere. I am a slave to Meta, X, YouTube, and Google; they have most of my data, but they haven't compensated me or provided me aid in return for my survival. I wish I could reclaim my personal boundaries online. Imagine creating content but not receiving anything in return. Only my family supports me emotionally and financially so far, but due to their own struggles, they are facing difficulties as well. I don't have any information here, but a significant flaw in this story is that it ignores any indie books that might be sold through Booktok. Perhaps some of their phantom book sales are actually happening there? But the old guard consistently has its head in the sand, chasing trends so much as they feed their existing and outdated model of property-grabs, best-sellers and velocity sales.
