Saw a guy in a Writing With AI subreddit, talking about how his years as a marketer have informed his approach to churning out slop as quickly as possible (But don't worry, the ideas are his) because the more "Product" you have the faster you make money.
Oh man I can't wait for this idiot to discover that (as much as I wish it weren't the case) books aren't a get rich quick scheme.

So I stumbled into r/defendingAIart and it's all just people complaining that the real artists don't respect them and in fact they're some sort of under privileged group of victims.
Meanwhile one of theirs actually made art, shared it among actual artists, got lots of support and encouragement and the sloppers were like "they lovebomb but hate you" Like no bro. Artists support other artists, you just aren't one, so haven't seen it because you know, you aren't an artist.

Ok this sounds cool. Have to see if it makes sense to move Rogue Publishing to this model.
That said tho. I'm down with more protections for creatives in all scenarios.

Doing some work on my site. Dropped all ebook prices to be $1 less than all other stores. Want to encourage and support folks buying direct. Still more money for me than if they buy elsewhere.

Sorta. I'm working on dialing back business spend since sales have been slowing. This month is one of my slowest sales months since starting and that's with a release (new series so no hype) in August. And this year is one of my worst overall as well.

The latest Rogue Enterprises adventure.
Really hoping to get it out the door before the end of the year. We’ll see how that goes.

I'm sorry but fuck Big Tech*. Fuck the valley. Fuck Zuckerberg and all his ilk. They want society glued to screens doomscrolling until we die (which many seem ok with).
I know breaking up with Facebook and Insta, etc are hard. But using them and claiming to support authors/artists simply don't line up. Not only that, they empower this behavior.
It's time to leave Facebook.
